Crossing the Generational Chasm for Sustainability

LGA Advisor Jeremy Cheng, alongside his co-authors, explores how the second generation of Asia Green Group, a Malaysian family business in the timber and property sectors, is shaping sustainability efforts.

The chapter, featured in the book Family Business Sustainability Case Studies Across the World (Edward Elgar Publishing), highlights how the six Tan siblings navigate family retreats, strategic discussions, and innovative projects—like a township for retirees—while balancing financial and social priorities.

This case was also used in the 12th Schlesinger Global Family Enterprise Case Competition at the University of Vermont.
