Thomas Ang is a Partner with LGA, where he leads the firm’s Global Practice for Family Offices and coordinates LGA’s advisory team in Asia.
Over the past two decades, Thomas has worked with multi-generational enterprising families and supported them on a wide range of topics related to family dynamics, ownership and leadership transition, evolution of business and wealth, and strategic positioning of Single Family Offices. His work also included formulating the family continuity roadmap, drafting family constitutions, and extensive governance work to establish decision-making bodies such as family councils, family boards, and investment committees.
Thomas has worked closely with families and entrepreneurs from more than a dozen countries globally, including Forbes listed clients and owners of Fortune 500 companies. As many of his engagements span multiple years, he has the pleasure of walking through the journey with the families, while effecting changes to the systems and witnessing the impact of these changes.
Prior to joining LGA, Thomas was Managing Director and the Global Co-Head for Family Advisory, Art and Collecting for UBS Global Wealth Management. He founded Credit Suisse Family Office Services in 2008, and served as the Global Head of Family Office Services until 2023.
Thomas graduated with honors from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Accountancy. He was named a Fellow of the Family Firm Institute (FFI) in 2020. Thomas is also a Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) Accredited Mediator and a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) with STEP.
In his spare time, Thomas enjoys preparing ‘world class’ meals for his family, leveraging the culinary skills mastered after graduating from Le Cordon Bleu with a Certificat de Cuisine de Base in 2025.
Thomas is based in Singapore and travels extensively. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
