Mariana Martinez

Mariana Martinez, PsyD, is a family enterprise advisor who integrates psychological science,  Bowen Family Systems Theory, and family enterprise dynamics into her work with multigenerational families and families of significant wealth. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience, the uniqueness of Mariana’s approach lies in her ability to bring a nuanced understanding of the human dynamics that influence decision-making, leadership, governance, ownership, and continuity across generations.

Mariana advises families, family businesses, and family offices navigating complex transitions involving succession, governance, wealth transfer, and leadership development. She is known for creating thoughtful conversations that enable families to address delicate issues with greater objectivity, uncover new possibilities, and make decisions aligned with both family values and the long-term success of the enterprise.

Prior to joining LGA, Mariana served as Executive Director of Family Dynamics at Wells Fargo Wealth and Investment Management, where she developed the firm’s Family Wealth and Culture Services offering. She is a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) and a faculty member at the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family in Washington, DC, where she leads its Ibero-American Institute. She is also a Fellow and faculty member of the Family Firm Institute (FFI) and serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Babson College in Wellesley, MA.
