Claire Jung

Claire Jung is a trusted family advisor with over 15 years of experience working with family business enterprises and family offices across the Asia Pacific region. She brings deep expertise in family governance, succession planning and legacy structures – combining technical tax knowledge with a strong understanding of family systems. Claire believes that enduring family enterprises are built on sound frameworks and aligned principles, supported by thoughtful and well-organised planning.

Prior to joining LGA, Claire founded a boutique consulting firm that partnered with enterprising families to design family governance frameworks, establish and operationalise family offices, and navigate complex generational transitions. Her role often extends beyond technical advisory to that of a long-term thought partner – supporting board effectiveness, philanthropic planning, and next-generation engagement. Claire also serves as an independent advisor to private family boards and as an independent non-executive director of a listed company.

Her advisory career began in Australia’s largest multi-family office, where she worked closely with prominent family business groups, philanthropic groups, investment professionals and legal advisors. After relocating to Malaysia for family reasons, she helped establish the private client practice at a Big 4 accounting firm.

Claire holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ), a Chartered Tax Advisor (The Tax Institute), and holds Advanced Certificates in Advising the Family Business and Family Business Governance from STEP. She also holds the Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising (ACFBA) and the Advanced Certificate in Family Wealth Advising (ACFWA) from the Family Firm Institute in Boston.

Claire currently lives in Malaysia with her husband and two young children. She speaks English and Korean.
