Maria Cecilia Escallón has worked in finance for over 20 years. Before becoming a Senior Advisor at LGA, she was Vice-President of the Treasury at a multinational company. During her professional career, she has worked on family business financing, raising capital, mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, dividend policies and stock ownership programs.

Prior to joining LGA, Maria Cecilia actively participated in a turnaround effort in several family businesses, designing the transition of ownership, establishing a formal board of directors with independent members, setting up different board committees and financially restructuring the company.

In addition to her consulting work, Maria Cecilia serves boards of family-owned businesses in Colombia. She holds a Law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, and an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Business (AGSIM).

Maria Cecilia is based in Bogotá and speaks Spanish and English.
